#safari#lifelesson no. 5: don’t leave before you leave. Too often I’ve spent the last morning of a trip, packing and “hanging out” so that we’re not late leaving. Really it means that I mope about and feel sorry for myself. Embracing the #dontleavebeforeyouleave mantra has changed it all. We pack adventure into every minute until we absolutely have to go. In the case of #jaocamp the result was that we saw the two young male lions we had watched all week turn and face the adult male who was trying to run them off. One of the trip highlights we would have missed if we hadn’t decided to do one last game drive.
Antarctica was my mother's dream trip. It ended up being life changing for me.
Our adventures from river rafting to trekking enthralled us. With the help of a soccer ball, the kids connected everywhere we went.
Arriving in the community near the Segera Retreat, the children asked me to take their pictures. Instead I handed them my hasselblad and let them take the pictures that morning. The result was a child’s view of their friends and community.

Winchester College Chapel and Muniments Tower
The chapel was built between the years 1387 and 1395 to designs by William Wynford, with Hugh Herland responsible for the traceried wooden ceiling and Thomas of Oxford for the glazing. The chapel was consecrated for use on 17 July 1395. The wooden ceiling is striking and it is a highlight of the public tour.

Traveling to Egypt with a 5 and a 7 year old was everything you hope from travel. They were engaged and entranced.
